Slag is the molten metal that remains after a part has been flame cut or cut by a plasma cutting machine. Our slag removing machines are designed to remove the slag or dross, but also to remove any mill scale left on the part. They are equipped with a hard knocking head or hard rubber contact drum, a course abrasive sanding belt, and high horse-power motors to aggressively grind heavy steel plates.

By adding a heavy slag removal machines it’s possible to remove the heavy slag from flame or plasma cut parts in combination with uniform edge rounding in one pass. This combination adds to the high quality of the products.
